Mount Ida Farm: Charlottesville, Virginia | Jackie + Kyle

Leading up to their big day Jackie and I bonded over birdcage veils and wedding dresses with pockets- a gal after my own heart! She was such a classy bride! Elegant and serene all day long. The day was filled with so many thoughtful details like carrying the same bouquet that her mom carried on her own wedding day and carrying on the tradition of something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, AND a six pence in her shoe. I’d forgotten about that last part but it’s a tradition in the Donovan family!

Jackie and Kyle’s wedding was one of the last ceremonies at Mount Ida’s mountain top location and we were honored to capture the day. I’ll never forget the way Kyle looked at his bride as she walked down the aisle and I love knowing their grandchildren will know that look of adoration by looking at their wedding photos (and the sweet video our friend Ben created- at the end of the post) for years to come.

Jackie and Kyle, thank you for inviting us into your lives and trusting us to capture your day. It was an honor and we hope you love re-living these sweet moments.
