Y’all when I say it’s been a crazy fall I am not joking!! We had four portrait sessions the week of Tristan and Katie’s Sky Meadows State Park engagement session… on top of opening the Farmhaus and basically doing the bare minimum to stay alive (resulting in epic late nights running two businesses, not eating a vegetable for about three weeks, and winding up with my first cold of the year… yuck!). But every time we meet a new couple for the first time (after swapping emails and phone calls and texts) we are immediately reminded that it’s worth it! It is worth it to capture this fleeting season. It is worth it to immortalize these smiles. It is worth it to grab this moment for the future. I honestly think Katie and Tristan’s portraits are some of my favorites. First of all- Katie has the most radiant smile of all time and I do love a bearded man (it’s fine, it’s fine… I have one of my own 🙂 And second of all- new locations to explore are our favorites!
We showed up to Sky Meadow State Park a little early to scout out the area since we’d never even heard of it before Katie mentioned it in her email. STUNNING. The most beautiful historic home on acres of beautiful farm land and an epic mountain view. We loved getting to know these two as we wandered down the lane and through the fields photographing the joyous relationship these two share.
Tristan and Katie, thank you for trusting us to capture this sweet season for you two! We are honored and we really are loving getting to know you both! I hope you enjoy a few of our favorites from your session! We can’t wait to celebrate with you guys at Trump Winery in July! It’s going to be a beautiful day!
cheers!
