Katie and Tim were ready to be married so they saw this as an opportunity to make one of Katie’s dreams come true this time: an intimate wedding at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Rhode Island, hear her hometown. So we (along with the entire Virginia based vendor team) took another trip to New England and now we’re all basically bound together for life.

It was perfect and we all felt SO honored to be there. This special weekend will go down in history as one of our favorites of all time.

If your question is, “did they really look at each other like that all day long?”, the answer is: Yes. Yes, they did. Completely unprompted and it made all of us swoon (*see more evidence below*).

Aaron and I drove to Brooklyn, NY to meet Katie and Tim during the summer of 2019 when I was about 6 months pregnant. Anytime you travel long distances to hang out with clients it kind of bonds you (you talk more, you hang out longer, etc). We got to go to dinner at one of K + T’s favorite spots and sit outside under a tent as the biggest summer storm raged around us. It was intimate and the perfect way to get to know these two and hear their love story. Then we got to meet Katie and Tim on the Brooklyn Bridge at sunrise and they basically just kept checking dreams off our list for us. Thanks, guys!

Wedding plan A was to get married at Early Mountain Vineyard in June of 2020 but we all know how that story ends: with a postponement. But Katie and Tim were ready to be married so they saw this as an opportunity to make one of Katie’s dreams come true this time: an intimate wedding at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Rhode Island, hear her hometown. So we (along with the entire Virginia based vendor team) took another trip to New England and now we’re all basically bound together for life. It was perfect and we all felt SO honored to be there. Katie and Tim had 12 guests (+ our little team of 7 vendors from VA) and they proved that sometimes a small guest list means you get to have everything you want (and absolutely no shortage of photos!!).

So Plan A will still happen in summer of 2021 and we all get to gather and do it again. But this special weekend will go down in history as one of our favorites of all time! Katie and Tim, we love you two so, so much and we can’t wait to do it all again! (Maybe we’ll finally be able to give you the huge hugs we owe you by then!!)
