Downtown Staunton, Virginia Engagement | Miranda + Patrick

This has been a week full of pretty images of the sweetest couples! I cannot remember the last time I blogged three sessions in one week, but here we are! Weddings and engagement sessions and sweet emotions and memorable moments galore. We say it over and over again, but we do not take this job lightly and to spend so many of our days with our sweet couple friends is a gift!

Miranda and Patrick wandered through the streets of downtown Staunton with us on a warm summer night a few weeks ago. We got to hear their love story and wedding plans. Super exciting wedding plans because these two are… ELOPING in Vegas!!! It’s not a secret elopement, but it’s super fun! It’s always a little bittersweet to photograph an engagement session when we aren’t shooting the wedding, but in this case it was just fun to hear the wedding plans! We always joke that if we had to plan our wedding again we might just run away together and these two really are doing it!

Miranda and Patrick’s story began when Patrick decided to throw his own no-dating-girls-at-work rule out the window to ask Miranda out. Patrick is a police officer and Miranda is a nurse and the two met running rescue squad together. What is sweeter than saving lives together? Staunton was the perfect backdrop to capture these two together. There is so much history and so many hidden gems throughout the city.
