Lexington, Virginia Wedding Photographer | Irvine Estate | Julia + Steve

Meet Steve and Julia. One of our very favorite couples of all time. These self-proclaimed “city hippies” were married in July on top of a mountain at Irvine Estate in Lexington, Virginia and it was perfect. These two are adventurers (we’ve been following along on their epic Bali honeymoon for weeks because it is truly inspiring!) and like the matron of honor said in her speech, people just want to be around Julia and Steve because they are that warm and welcoming. Their love is real and apparent- spilling over onto each other, onto their friends and families, and even onto their vendor team.

We spent the day with Julia and Steve laughing with their hilarious bridal party, following around the most adorable flower girls of all time, tearing up over the sweetest details (check out those amazing watercolors by the bride + groom’s sister-in-law!!). This ceremony was one of the most meaningful we’ve ever witnessed. Julia walked down the aisle toward Steve to “Like the Dawn” by the Oh Hellos– and I literally couldn’t catch my breath. Julia + Steve, we’ve cherished this season with the two of you and we are so grateful that you invited us to capture this season. Thank you for sharing your love with all of us, thank you for saying yes to all of our crazy ideas, and thank you making us feel like part of the family for the day.
