Kelly and Jonathan’s
Lydia Mountain Lodge wedding felt just like the two of them. Hurricane Joaquin couldn’t do anything to lessen the sweetness of the day. When I talked to Kelly the week of her wedding (with the weatherman predicting a 100% chance of rain on her wedding day) she was calm and unaffected. She told me, “We’re up for whatever works best and I’m definitely okay with rain on my dress!” …and I knew it was all going to be okay 🙂
Lydia Mountain is appropriately named, and from the top of the mountain you can see for miles. The most amazing views mixed with the sweetest little cabins nestled in the woods. We could’ve moved right in!
Jonathan is a man of few words, but the smile on his face when he first saw his bride-to-be said it all. How sweet it was to capture those first quiet moments of these two. They hugged and quietly laughed as the wind swirled and the rain came and went. They held each other tight and never complained about the cold. We found a cute little cabin and used the porch for shelter as the rain fell harder, and then ran together to the pavilion where these friends promised to love each other forever.
These two were made for each other and we were honored to be there as they became husband and wife. Kelly and Jonathan, we wish you only happiness as you enter this new adventure! Enjoy some of our favorites from your mountain top wedding day!
cheers!
