Charlottesville Backyard Wedding | Wedding Photos | Kristian + Matt

Kristian and Matt’s Charlottesville backyard (or FRONT yard, technically) wedding was beautiful. It was classy and elegant and full of moments that got me choked up with happy tears or laughing out loud. Kristian and Matt met on an airplane ride from the east coast to the west, and it was clearly more than a chance meeting. These two were made for each other. It was such an honor to be among their friends and family as they said ‘I do’. 

When I saw Kristian for the first time, she took my breath away. I wore a birdcage veil to our wedding, so I have a thing for that classy look. Aaron and I like to try to guess what kind of dress our brides have chosen and we couldn’t have been more spot on with this one. Kristian’s dress fit her personality exactly and she radiated joy all day long. Matt is the most welcoming groom I’ve ever met. He greeted us as old friends when we saw him the morning of their wedding- giving me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. The most important thing to Kristian and Matt was that their friends and families had a great time celebrating with them and were well taken care of. I am blown away every time one of our couples checks in and asks how WE are doing during THEIR wedding! When they tell us to make sure we sit down and enjoy some food and cake. When they ask if there is anything they can do for US! We are there to serve them and yet they never fail to amaze us with how well they love us and include us. It’s a gift and a reminder that we are in the right place. 

Kristian and Matt, we hope you had the time of your life in Italy as husband and wife! You two deserve it! We love y’all and can’t wait to catch up once you’re stateside! Here are some of our favorites from your sweet day. Enjoy!!
