We’ve been looking forward to Liz and Carson’s House Mountain Inn wedding since we first met them a few months ago. They had such a vision for rustic elegance and we couldn’t wait to see them bring it to life in the mountains of Virginia. The whole day really was a beautiful southern affair and we loved being part of it. We were surrounded by deep southern accents all day long! It was so meaningful to know that Liz and Carson’s friends and family were willing to pitch in however they could to make sure the bride and groom were always taken care of. (Not to mention the fact that those gorgeous florals were done by a close family friend! Wow!!)
My favorite part of the night was watching these two twirl and glide along the dance floor effortlessly, never taking their eyes off each other. It was beautiful. Aaron loves to dance and I like to say that I do too, but every time we try to dance I realize that I have a trust issue. To be a really good dancer, you have to trust your partner. Watching the two of them dance the night away was such a sweet outward expression of how much Liz trusts Carson and how well Carson cares for Liz. And then the DJ turned up the music and we realized Liz and Carson weren’t the only dancers in the room. Carson is from Texas and apparently if you’re from Texas, you know how to dance. Like really dance… So Liz and Carson’s wedding was quite the dance party!
It was special to watch these two, who have become our friends, say their vows before God and their friends and family. We don’t take that honor for granted! Fun fact: this wedding was extra special because we had some good friends in the crowd. Frankie Leo played guitar for Liz and Carson’s ceremony and first dance and he just happens to be Aaron’s best friend AND he played for our ceremony as a groomsman! Such a small world 🙂
Liz and Carson- you two have the most beautiful hearts and genuine love for each other and those around you. We’ve LOVED getting to know you guys over the past few months and we wish your new home in Tennessee was a little closer to our Virginia mountains 🙂 We hope you’re having a blast on your honeymoon in Costa Rica and we hope you enjoy re-living your day with us when you get back!
cheers!
