When Nicole first contacted Bethany and me about doing a spur of the moment engagement session, we were thrilled! Nick just graduated from Virginia Military Institute and is headed to Florida for training so Nicole wanted to take advantage of their last few weeks together and capture some memories to hold them over as they start the “long distance” leg of their relationship.
Nick and Nicole (yes, you can pretty much tell they were meant to be just by their names) were so comfortable with each other and us during our shoot that it made the whole afternoon feel like hanging with old friends! (Which is funny because after talking for a while we realized Nicole grew up with Bethany’s youngest sister and they rode the bus to the same elementary school for years. What a small world we live in!)
Carter Mountain Orchard is SUCH an awesome location! We had no trouble finding beautiful views, gorgeous light, and hidden gems as we walked through the orchard. Fall is the season for apple orchard sessions, and it’s always a challenge to make your sessions unique and one-of-a-kind. Luckily these two made our job easy on that front! One of our favorite (and most genuine) parts of the shoot was when Nick and Nicole stopped for a quick apple snack- hilarious and such beautiful portraits!
Thanks so much for letting us hang out with you guys and we wish you the absolute best as you plan your 2016 North Carolina wedding! SO fun! Congratulations again!
