Caroline + Jon ended up with a date change and a venue change because of the pandemic but I don’t think their day could have been any lovelier. We celebrated in the backyard at Caroline’s dad’s house and it was the most gorgeous ceremony and reception overlooking the marsh (and the world’s longest dock).
We loved our low country wedding experience and can’t wait to come back
We started photographing the Wright family years ago when they were only a family of four and here we are capturing all SEVEN of them (our first time meeting the twins!!)! We got to explore the beautiful Big Spring Farm together and it was the most gorgeous backdrop for a film session. What a fun […]
Kat + Eric | Science Museum of Virginia | August 29, 2020 We first met the Pommer family about 5 years ago when we photographed Eric’s (the groom) sister’s wedding in Connecticut. We met the Pommer family and we met Eric’s girlfriend- there’s even a photo floating around of them on the dance floor. So […]
Katie and Tim were ready to be married so they saw this as an opportunity to make one of Katie’s dreams come true this time: an intimate wedding at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Rhode Island, hear her hometown. So we (along with the entire Virginia based vendor team) took another trip to New England and now we’re all basically bound together for life.
It was perfect and we all felt SO honored to be there. This special weekend will go down in history as one of our favorites of all time.
A + J were originally supposed to get married in Utah but when the pandemic hit they decided to hit the pause button on those plans. On a road trip through Virginia they stumbled across this brand new little vineyard on a mountain top right off the parkway and pulled off for a glass of wine. A fell in love instantly and J was ready to make her mountaintop dreams come true. The couple decided 12 Ridges was the perfect spot for an intimate Virginia wedding with their friends and family… and we agree.
Emily and Ian were our only wedding before the pandemic hit and I’m so glad they got to enjoy this day the way they’d planned and dreamed. Happy Anniversary, Emily + Ian! I hope it is such a joy to celebrate together today!
We met Lauren and Rob at the University of Virginia grounds for their engagement session on the HOTTEST day last summer. We were sweating but no one was complaining and that is our favorite kind of couple. The kind that is too excited to be together to notice the heat. The kind who isn’t deterred from swapping a little sweat as they snuggle up. Most of our couples are nervous to be photographed (we can totally relate) but it’s even more typical to have a reluctant groom. Rob could never be put in that category! He was willing and ready to love on his girl from the moment he arrived and I think you can feel their joy and love in their portraits.
My sister, Sophie, and her fiance, Ross, were supposed to say their vows at an intimate wedding ceremony in the mountains this weekend. Unfortunately Covid-19 had other plans, so in honor of them I thought I’d blog (for the first time in months… ok, ok, YEARS) and share some favorites from their engagement session. […]
